Basically this business is me, and I have neither the time, energy or desire to do anything villainous with your data.
I use cookies (more info on this here) which you can get your browser to block or delete if you don’t want them. I also have a Facebook tracking pixel so I can better target my adverts. I don’t know if you can block this (I can’t even use my Facebook advert dashboard properly so am not a Facebook advert expert) but basically it means that my ads will be shown to people who have visited my site, so might actually be interested in training with me. If this bothers you and an ad appears you can click ‘I don’t want to see this’.
I have Google Analytics but rarely look at it, although if I did I think this would help me know which blogs you like the most and write more stuff like that. Mainly I use Facebook likes to gage this, which isn’t as effective but is easier. Also I haven’t written a blog in ages so it doesn’t matter anyway.
None of this is personal data, I don’t properly understand it, but comes under the general heading of the internet tracking what you do.
What data do I have? Your email and name if you subscribe to my newsletter (via Aweber, who are GDPR compliant), or if you send me a message via the contact form. You can ask to be removed from my email list by clicking the unsubscribe button on the email (which I rarely send these days) and FYI Aweber have some tracking thingies in the emails so I can see how many people actually read what I send. And I don’t store your info from the contact form anywhere other than my inbox, which I like to keep (obsessively) clear so delete once I no longer need it.
I only take more details from those who actually train with me: payment info is done via a third party (GoCardless, also GDPR compliant) and I have another website for collecting new client info, with a more detailed privacy policy there.
Here’s the more offical sounding Privacy Policy:
